these programs
These are small Delphi 1.0 applications Joost wrote to verify the correctness of the memory map
constructed so far.
At this stage, most data has been decoded, but still a few fields (for
instance, the field in which your receiver holds the startup mode, i.e.
VFO mode, MEMORY mode, etc.
MD10
MD10 automatically reads data
from your IC-R10, decodes it and saves it as a text file.
Early downloaders may have version 1.00 that still looks for a test file (forgot to remove the reference...sorry...). Shouldn't cause any damage and it should work OK, but it is better to get the newest version. The newest version will show 'MD10 - version 1.01' in the title bar.

CA
- Cloning Analysis
CA is an older application that
dumps the memory contents of your unit to a file as raw bytes; no textual
translations are done. To use it, you need the cloning software CS-R10
as distributed by ICOM. You also need a cable to interconnect your PC and
your scanner, which will in most cases be the OPC-478
cable.
This application was written as an aid to decode the memory maps of different IC-R10's, just to see whether there are any country-specific details. Joost received memory dumps from Björn Danielsson, Cor Pootjes, Jeremy Courter, Joseph Haney, Bruce Lorimer and William White. He says "Thanks very much!"
After downloading this little application you are all set! Use CS-R10 to clone the CA.ICF file into your unit (make a copy of your current memory contents since you are about to overwrite it!) and clone the data back into my application. Make sure CS-R10 is not running anymore when you do so. And please note that you will have to fill in all the fields provided before you can select the COM-port. This was done to prevent contributors to forget to mention the serial number, country etc. Although you do not have to send me the dump, this mechanique is still in function.
